Asena Çağığan

Asena Çağığan graduated from Gazi University, Department of French Language and Literature. She completed her MA about representation of women in Franco-Belgian comics at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University. She is currently continuing her PhD at the same university. She did her internship in the French department at the Translation Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has a certificate in teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language. She is authorized to serve as an evaluator jury in DELF exams. She did her internship in the French department at the Translation Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has a certificate in teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language.

Ayşe Akıncı Candoğan

Ayşe Akıncı Candoğan graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Translation and Interpretation in 2000. Since then, she has been working as a professional conference interpreter with English/Turkish language combination. She is a member of Turkish Conference Interpreters Association. Candoğan has been teaching applied consecutive and simultaneous interpretation courses at Bilkent University since 2009.

Esra Özbay

Esra Özbay graduated from Hacettepe University with a degree in French Language and Literature. After working as a French teacher at the French Cultural Center in Ankara and at Tevfik Fikret High School, she served as a translator and interpreter at the Department of Radio, Television, Foreign Relations, and Foreign Broadcasts of TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Co.). She also taught elective French courses at Çankaya University. Currently, she teaches basic French at Bilkent University and TOBB-ETU.

Eyüp Özgür Özendoğan

Eyüp Özgür Özen completed his PhD at Hacettepe University in 1994. His area of expertise is International Relations, European Union, International Organisations. Dr. Özen teaches French at different levels, gives lectures on Translation of official texts and documents, Translation for EU and International institutions and English-French translation.

Hürmüz Tunalı

Hürmüz Nur Tunalı received her BA in French Language and Literature from Hacettepe University in 1980. She has over forty years’ experience in the areas of translation, grammar, voice over and audio-visual classes. She has worked at Tevfik Fikret Ankara and numerous Alliance Française Institutes internationally, where she has also been the examiner of the DELF and Berthe Mouchette Poem examinations.  Furthermore, she has taught French to various ministries, including the Turkish Department of Foreign Affairs, Turkish Court of Accounts and the Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs. She has been a part-time lecturer at Bilkent University’s TRIN Department since 2019. She teaches the FRP102-001 and FRP102-003 courses.

İbrahim Yılmaz

After earning his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Gazi University, he served as the Deputy Head of the Department of Translation and Interpreting at Hacettepe University. He also specialized in ‘Audio-Visual Methods and Applications in French Language Teaching’ at the Didactic Center for Foreign Languages at Grenoble III University in France. For many years, he provided interpreting services for high-level delegations within the Turkish Armed Forces. Additionally, he has contributed to the field through translation in his private practice and has subtitled French films and documentaries for TRT for over 30 years.
